The last release from this era of our band, 'Countertops', was the first single to include a B-side (Shine). To this day, it is our most played song live, with 'Shine' coming in second. It was also another song to be written by Connor from Boneyard before leaving the band, more or less marking the end of this era for JEALOUS OF YOUTH. This song was in circulation since before 'Now What?', and was (still is) a fan favourite. Its first demo was sent around to many people in the months before it got released and included a more stripped-back sound, making more heavy use of acoustic guitars, rather than being mainly electric. We also considered making an EP for this song as well; it would've had that older version of the song, 'Burning Memory,' and another song written by Connor on it. Another note is that we nearly made a music video based around the film 'Trainspotting', a draft was made with the song set to clips from the film we would want to recreate but this never got finished.

The image is of a living room with some of our equipment in it, and a TV displaying the 'Countertops' era logo. The TV from this set is reused later with the lyric video for the song too. Other promo material was made but never used for the song, some of it based around 'Trainspotting', and others based around the visual themes of the TV.
