LISTEN:
JOY06 'IT WILL NEVER BE THE SAME' 20th June 2025
After spending a year recording it and over 2 years writing it, we released our debut EP 'It Will Never Be the Same'. All the songs were made to transition seamlessly into each other, intended to be heard in one sitting. Every song was written by Liam and George, and produced collaboratively as a band. It is a perfect taster for everything we are willing to provide as a band, from loud, abrasive punk-driven songs to massive, wall-of-sound ballads. Every song on this project has something unique about it: 'Hotel' with its diverse structure, 'Talking Stage' making use of overdriven harmonicas, 'Sunday' using sitars and slide guitars, and 'Shine' with a full orchestra backing it throughout the whole song. 2 music videos were released for this project, 'She's With Someone' and 'Hotel', the latter being directed and edited by Grace.

ARTWORK:
A few versions of the cover were made with different backgrounds. It's made from composites of our mugshots mixed up and collaged together, the text is also collaged from different prints of the phrase 'It Will Never Be the Same". Another interesting detail is it shows almost a full history of our logo and some photos of our trip that we filmed for the 'Hotel' music video. It was important that the cover was a good representation of what this release means to us, and how it benchmarks a new time for the band.
